Valve performance involves more than opening, closing and sealing. How a valve behaves while water is flowing through it is also important to the performance of the connected system.
ZENTIF’s factory is equipped with an in-house water-flow testing facility for evaluating valve flow characteristics and flow resistance. The facility includes dedicated pipe loops and test positions where valves can be installed for assessment under controlled water-flow conditions.
Flow resistance is associated with the pressure lost as water passes through a valve. This loss depends on factors such as the internal passage, valve opening and flow rate. Understanding these relationships helps engineers assess how a valve may affect a pipeline or circulation system.
The test facility allows the team to examine flow performance and use the results as feedback during product development and technical evaluation. Testing can help identify how changes to the flow passage or operating position affect hydraulic behavior.
The accompanying photographs show both the overall test installation and technicians preparing a valve at a test position. The combination of dedicated equipment and hands-on inspection supports a more practical understanding of product performance.
By maintaining testing capability within the factory, ZENTIF can connect manufacturing work with hydraulic evaluation more directly. Customers with specific flow-performance requirements are welcome to discuss the intended medium, flow conditions and available test arrangements with the technical team.
